Our adoption fee is just $100.00 for mixed breed dogs, $150 to $200 for purebred dogs, $75 cats and $100 for kittens and this price includes:

Spay or Neuter (Done when age-appropriate at Tuskegee Veterinary College)

All Vaccinations current to adoption date (Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, Etc.)

Physical Exam

Deworming

Heartworm Testing

Gotti is a sweet, loyal boy looking for a good home.  He is an intact Rotti mix, approximately 65lbs, and estimated to be 2-3 years old.   He is eager to please and thankful for any attention he receives. He appears to have a pretty good temperment.   He is very loyal--he always greets me and follows me around outside.  There are other loose dogs in the neighborhood which he seems to get along with.  Overall, he is gentle and calm.

There are outdoor cats in the neighborhood but I have never observed how he behaves with them.   He will chase cars and needs to be somewhere with a fence or leash walked.      

He loves to swim and play with other dogs. He will guard his food which seems to come from living on the streets and not having enough food.    

He does have heartworms but he will be treated before being placed in a new home.

Spaying/Neutering of Pets & Alabama Law

In compliance with Alabama State Law Section 3.9.2, all animals adopted from the Macon County Humane Society must be spayed or neutered.

This requirement was enacted to help control the population of dogs and cats in our state and signed into law by the Governor of our state.
